i think linux nerds have played to much rpgs, at least the system feels a lot like a adventure/rpg from time to time.
unexpectedly your system will send you on a quest, throughout this quest, there are many plot turns and subquests. to solve this quests you have to gather information and use mystical items obtained in the dungeons of 'the web'. and in the end, if you are lucky and casted your commandline spells correctly you'll get a lot of xp and nerd level up.
while windows feels more like a strategy game, where you need to build up your castle and constantly need to defend it from invaders.
